It is often difficult to find a Bereavement/Loss Support Group that is ongoing. We meet every Sunday in the year at 6:30pm, even on holidays. There is no charge for anything.
We are a practical group. No matter what the loss, the one thing we all have in common is . . . pain. We grieve because we have loved deeply. So we:
- feel with each other
- talk things out as each person desires
- listen
- understand
- cry with each other / sometimes laugh
- support and encourage each other
- perhaps even form new friendships
- learn about the grieving process
People from all walks of life with all kinds of losses are welcome. One might have a loss of:
- spouse
- child
- relatives
- close friend or colleague
- pets
- employment
- home
- relationships
- many other types of loss that cause grieving
Though the types of losses may vary, two things remain in common with each person and that is the effect of the deep pain of the loss and the ongoing grieving process.
People are experiencing losses during every season of the year. Since people grieve their losses for various lengths of time, we facilitate an ongoing weekly support group all year long – 52 weeks a year. A person may begin to attend at any time and stay with the group as long as they want to stay.
No RSVP needed. Just Come.
And we have dinner food available at every meeting at no charge. So, plan to eat with us if you’d like not to have to fix anything to eat before the meeting.
We meet at 211 Forestbrook Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29574. For inquiries: (843) 236-8852.
Private appointments may be set up at no charge as well ~ Call (843) 236-8852.
