The Well by the Sea

We are a contemporary church in the Anglican tradition (Anglican Church in North America), and a member of the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina.  We enjoy lively, contemporary, Spirit-filled worship deeply rooted in the gospel traditions that have been handed down to us by the Patriarchs, Prophets and  Apostles through the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.  We believe in these scriptures and insist that nothing be taken from or added to what is contained in these testaments.  We celebrate the gifts of the Spirit and believe that salvation is a free gift to all who will receive the teachings of Jesus and turn to Him in faith.  We also believe that while all may come to a saving knowledge of Jesus as Savior and Lord, salvation and eternal life are found in Jesus alone.   We remember that Jesus’ last direction to His disciples was to “go and make disciples.”  While salvation is free, discipleship is a serious and deep calling that leads us to gradually let go of our self-centeredness and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us into the likeness of Christ.  While we are all made in God’s image, we are TRANSFORMED into the likeness of Jesus.  This is a life-long journey of faith that we are traveling together at The Well.    We laugh and cry together, enjoy our successes and hold each other up during trials and tribulations.  But most of all, we seek to see Jesus in one another and continue to grow the Kingdom of God in this place and among our people.
